        Hi Angel,
We had our surgery on the same date and I have been following your story. I enjoy reading your posts. I read a lot of post on the obesityhelp.com and everyone is always bragging on how well they are doing and I am struggling everyday. I noticed that I gained 4lbs this week and wondered why. I have been eating at restaurants more and I have not been exercising like I should. I just realized that sodium and carbs are my biggest enemies. I feel that I had this surgery so that I can improve on my health and extend my life for my daughters but it is a struggle everyday. At my job my co-workers love to eat and it is so hard for me to not join in. I have to admit that it is certain foods that I love to eat and I have to stay away from. But you are an inspiration to me. I have lost 100lbs. and I have at least another 120lbs to go. I want to do it before my year anniversary but I dont know. I have the will power to do it because I done it before I just need a push. Thanks for posting your journey on this website it helps me out alot.

First of all, if you wish to remain anonymous, it’s cool. But if no, please email me at kmosley1973@yahoo.com. I would really like to get to know you better and communicate with you more. We could encourage each other since we’re walking along this path together. I totally understand how you feel. There’s so much mounted against us in this battle. All around us, wherever we go, we’re faced with the one thing that makes life the most difficult for us. This battle is not for the faint at heart, but you and I are proof that this is possible. I know how it feels to hear about people losing and that sinking feeling that comes when you’re not losing or even gaining. You feel like you’re “broken’…like somethings wrong with you…like the surgery was a waist and it didn’t work for you. I could go on and on about how I “figured out” what works for me. Please email me so that we can share. I look forward to hearing from you. You are the reason I do this.

My weight when I left the hospital (according to the bed) was 483. I adjusted for my scale at home which put me at 481. Today, they told me it was 490 at the doctors office. SO…I’m weighing myself now here at home so that I can always gauge and keep track of it. Whew! just wanted to fill you in.
